The tomato margariteño is one of the typical agricultural products of the island of Margarita, Venezuela, also; one of the most appreciated products in regional cuisine.
It is a type of large tomato, can weigh more than 500 grams, contains a lot of water, is very thin skin and has a lot of acidity.
It is harvested green and left to mature in the sun. The best time to consume it is when it is light red and firm to the touch.
