The tree ciplukan can only reach one meter sometimes there are more, with a maximum plant life of one year. The trunk is green with many branches around it. The leaves are a thin green with rare serrations at the edges. When fruiting, the ciplukan fruit will be wrapped by a kind of green bulging pouch.
