This delicious snack recipe is about how to make Patacones with guacamole. Also the purpose of this post is to participate in fruits and veggies monday competition, created by @lenasveganliving, hosted by @plantstoplanks. Many thanxx to them for this yummmy contest!!!!
So, here we go with the yum part:
Ingredients for two portions:
- 2 Green bananas.
- 2 Avocado.
- 1 Bulb onion.
- 4 Chopped coriander spoons
- 2 Spoons of lemon juice.
Procedure:
Bananas without the skin were cut into 4 cylindric pieces and fried in olive oil at medium fire until they were golden like this:
Next, the fried bananas were taken out from oil and cooled.
The bananas were crushed with a kitchen roll, until obtain cookies-like bananas.
The banana cookies were fried again, until they had toasted consistency, like this:
The guacamole sauce was made by mixing the macerated avocado, onion and coriander finely chopped, the lemon juice and a bit of salt. This sauce were like this:
and... we ate veeeeryyy haaapy.

This is very unusual combination. I would never though of mixing banana with onion and avocado, but I bet it's delicious. Wonderful recipe 🥑🍌🥑
Hi @lenasveganliving. In this recipe the sweet common banana was not used. Instead a variety of not sweet banana called plantain was used. though sweet banana can be used, but before it is ripe.
I thought plantain is sweet as well.
sweetness of banana is due to its high fructose content, plantain contains mainly starch, and very few fructose.
