Hello, all my dear friends!
Are there any peanut butter lovers on the other side of the screen? Perfect, we have something in common!
Before I’ve shared with you some things you can easily prepare at home instead of buying them from grocery store (oat milk, apple sauce), and now is the time for peanut butter. If you’re not making your own peanut butter yet, soon you will! It’s an easy process, which will save you money (“peanut butter isn’t that expensive” you may say, “I’m a uni student” I may answer), and make you know exactly what is in your pb! I know there are natural peanut butters in market, but there are also a plethora of jars with a lot of unnecessary additives...
There’s just one problem with peanut butter. I made a jar of it two days ago, guess how much there’s left… I can almost see the bottom! Okay, I normally don't eat that much peanut butter, but now I've been adding it to everything. Even if it may not be a good idea to spoon all the pb from the jar in one go, it’s a good source of dietary fats (and protein). So, in decent amounts this delicious spread may be something you may want to include into your diet.
Peanut Butter 🥜
Ingredients:
unsalted peanuts
(salt)
(peanut or vegetable oil)
Method:
• First step is to roast the amount of peanut you wish to use to make peanut butter. You can either do it in the oven or on a frying pan. I prefer using a frying pan, since it’s a faster way. So, heat you pan to medium-high and pour the peanuts in. Note, the pan should be dry! Roast the peanuts for 5-10 minutes until they turn partially brown.
• Set the roasted peanuts aside and let them cool down a bit.
• Peel the skins of the peanuts (it’s ok if they’re not perfectly skinless).
• Pour the peanuts into a blender or a food processor. Depending on the power of your machine, you may have to add a little, or a little more oil in order to get a spread. Use a rubber spatula to move the mixture from the sides and blend, repeat as many times as necessary. Add a pinch of salt if you wish.
There you have it, your own delicious peanut butter!
Fun fact: did you know that peanuts actually are not nuts? They're legumes, just like chickpeas, lentils and green peas.
You probably already know what day it is today, it's Fruits and Veggies Monday! Since there's no better way to get a new week going than sharing the food love, this is my entry of the week. I know that pb and jelly is a popular combination, but what is your favorite thing to combine with peanut butter? 🥜
-Jasmin ❤
Simple but yummy. I like celery and peanut butter.
That's a new combo for me, I'll have to try it too, sounds intriguing! :)
Oh my god Peanut Butter YES!! Homemade peanut butter must be even more delicious. You can really put it on anything. Sometimes I drizzle peanut butter over my overnight oats in the morning and drop in some blueberries… yum!! Question: why do you need to use unsalted peanuts? Would the butter be too salty with salted peanuts?
Anyway, you are a badass Ms. @jasmink and this peanut butter is perfect- the pictures look great too!
You could also make peanut butter with salted peanuts, but it would be quite salty in the end, just like you thought. At least I find peanut butter salty enough when I add a pinch of salt to the mixture. Peanut butter is so great, it tastes yummy almost with everything! Thanks for the lovely comment, @puravidaville!
I agree- it goes with everything!
When she hyperlinks the same one, multiple times, I better go check it out!
You showed us how easy it is to make peanut butter! Um ya that’s awesome.
Thanks @dandays, I'm happy that she brought you here and that you liked this! Peanut butter is just so great, it's super easy to make and it goes with everything, I recommend you trying to make your own as well.
It's nice to see you again on my page! :)
howdy from Texas jasmink! hey this is a wonderful post because I had no idea that peanut butter was so easy to make! 3 ingredients? Even I can do that so great job!
Hey @janton! I'm glad you like this, most of the time the simplest things/foods are the best! Peanut butter really is something anyone can make at home!
This looks wonderful @jasmink. Will have to try this. As for what my favorite thing to eat with peanut butter. I love dipping apples in peanut butter :D
Thanks @tryskele! I find peanut butter and apples a great combo as well! Have you tried combining applesauce with peanut butter, I highly recommend it! 😋
This sounds crazy, I don't like applesauce 🤣
Haha, then it's not the best combo for you. 😅 But I really like it! :)
I've never made this at home, I didn't think it's so easy! Thank you for sharing, I will definitely try it :)
My pleasure! I think homemade peanut butter really is worth trying, enjoy your pb! 😋

Only 2 ingredients? No way! I'm so trying this, thanks for sharing 😀
Yeees! I'm super glad you liked this @lolzwithlisa, enjoy your peanut butter! 😋
Oh I do love some peanut butter! Definitely my desert island food. I love it in a salad dressing with ginger, garlic and rice wine vinegar or on the sweet side a big juicy Medjool date with a bit of peanut butter stuffed inside is just divine. :)
The combination of pb, ginger and garlic... That sounds too good, I'm almost drooling here! 🤤 I've just recently figured out how amazing peanut butter tastes in salad dressings, and I have to say that I absolutely love it! That date peanut butter combo is something I know I'd love, I'll definitely try it! :)
Thanks for sharing those yummy ideas, @plantstoplanks! :)
Mmmm hand made peanut butter it looks delicious i never tryed to make nut butter at home i dont thinl my blender will be able to handle it:D
It can truly be quite challenging for a blender, but if you don't mind a little crunchier peanut butter, your blender could still work, haha!
Thanks for stopping by @drawmeaship! :)
I dont mind the crunchy of nut butter but i have a very cheap blender that is lasting us for 4 years so far but it can't blend for very long after 3min it overheats...
Then it may be better not to make peanut butter, you don't want to set the whole blender on fire! But 4 years for a very cheap blender is quite good, I must admit. :)
Yes it surely is:) and i use it fairly often so he is doing very well:D
That is truly easy and delicious. Well done my Dear 🍒 🍌🍑🌿🍍🍓🍇
Thank you Lena! 😊
Delicious, my brother would love this.
Thanks @joeyarnoldvn, I'm glad to hear that!
