I learned to cook pretty much same way as you and you will be surprise when I tell you I don't like coking, lol, although I was always a good cook, What I enjoy is creating vegan recipes and photographing them.

I don't like cooking either, and when I was a child, I was always in trouble with my eating habit too :-)
I think all kids are, but I was lucky my grandmother had garden and I loved to eat straight from there, lol
I agree that all kids are finicky eaters, but I wasn't like that..I don't chew! I just put food in my mouth and held it there until I got a smack or so to tell me to chew, lol..
