I used to follow SBF on twitter and saw a few brief interviews of him. Like many tech gurus, we first think they're amazingly brilliant, but we fail to see also how much luck is involved, and as always, power warps and corrodes minds. Like many, he got too deep into the hype, the leverage, and the denial when things crumbled. Irresponsible? Entirely. Criminal? Probably. But is this the downfall of all men, getting overtaken by situations and not having the character to put an end to things when the ethical decisions arrive? Looks like he will be put away for some time, and he did incredible harm to the industry. But I guess in unregulated systems, someone always has to take advantage and abuse the power. Sam is the potential for failure we all have inside. ... Do the right thing.
