It's dilute the reward pool and create a system where only those who can afford to pay for a bot earn reward. They vote on anything even if it's a piece of trash. And lastly they swallow too much. Will collect the Monday paid them and still take the curator's reward.
That is just it. You are correct. I wonder why it is like that
It's because of greed and a thirst for power coupled with short sighted ignorance of long term effect or apathy.
