As I don't know any specific details about this, except for the things you've decided to share, I'm curious to know a few things.
You said that you generated about 1 Steem per 2 hours. That's about 12 Steem per 24 hours, which would be approximately 360 Steem per month.

I know it's expensive to run witness servers, but how expensive is it?
I mean, top 20 witnesses earns about $2200 per month... Which would be approximately ~8150 Steem per month? - As long as the $2200 is USD.
I do understand that some people might have less costs than others and whatever, but to someone who doesn't have any real knowledge or insight in these scenarios at all, it really looks like it's literally impossible to make any form of profit as long as you're not in the top 30 ish. And when you're in the top 20, you can just laugh all the way to the bank...
Servers costs from $50 to $100.
I don't understand top 60 witnesses complaining about earnings. I understand that they don't make much money after server payment, but some of us are at ~150-200 STEEM loss per month. And I'm happy that I generate 2-3 blocks per day. Some witnesses get even much less blocks (few blocks per week). This is almost 100% loss.
No they do not.
Do you have cheaper witness server?
I found server for ~40€ + tax at Hetzner and this was cheapest I found.
