I've got a lot of respect for @fulltimegeek for the work he has done to counter greed on Steem and to help others. He has my vote. Note that there are a lot of inactive witnesses in the top 100. Some may just be upgrading, but others have done nothing for months. People need to re-allocate their votes.
I'm letting my VP recover, but still spreading a few votes around. It's good that new accounts cannot spam the system, but I feel for those who want to do good stuff as soon as they join up.
He certainly has, and for the community over the past year, I can't think of anyone more suitable to hit top 20.
Pretty tough to come up with the right algorithm first time out, I suspect there could be tweaks made to find the right balance here.
Yeah, the sheer amount of votes going to people like Jerry is astonishing. Maybe the voters are now inactive too, but if they aren't and want the best for this platform they need to treat their witness votes as a way to influence the direction of the platform. Maybe that's naive with the whole "freedom/pumpkin" thing going on in the top 20, but the people can surely make a difference.
