Speaking at a tech conference in Crete, the South-African born business magnate Elon Musk introduced “project Icarus”, a proposal for a manned voyage to the Sun. The world famous entrepreneur behind Paypal and Tesla fielded questions from reporters and tech sector investors at the Google Labyrinth on the scenic Greek Island.

“It’s quite exciting really” Mr. Musk said “recent breakthroughs in feather and glue technology have given us the ability to send a man to the sun in the next few decades”. When asked about potential safety concerns, Mr. Musk forced a smile and confidently replied “Icarus engineers have produced the most powerful set of wings by a factor of two. I dare say that not even Zeus himself is as strong as my wings!” Musk then proceeded to take flight using the winged apparatus, soaring majestically before swooping down at a stunned and frightened crowd. Laughing giddily Mr. Musk remarked, “This is just a prototype! When Icarus is complete my wings will carry me higher! Higher still! Higher into the heavens! Feel the awesome power of flight, you fools!” Musk expects to reach the son by 2030.
