7 ideas to play with your baby

in #fun7 years ago

Since your toddler has learned to crawl and sit alone, nothing stops her daily activity of exploring everything. That's why, today we recommend some activities to do with them at home, without spending a lot of money.

  1. Wrap your toys with wrapping paper. Try using used papers you have at home and wrap up your toys to explore textures, colors and find out what's inside the paper.

  2. Sets of toilet paper. If you're willing to sit next to your baby to see the toilet paper spread throughout the room, then this is a game for you. Two or three rolls of toilet paper will be enough to entertain you by pulling, throwing, rolling and stacking them.

  3. Games with textures. Fabrics, silk, wool, feathers are some of the materials you can use to explore with touch. But you can also choose textures that involve getting a little dirtier and experimenting with soil, gelatin, spray cream, flour, water, etc. Of course, they don't have to go all together but you can combine or try every day with a different one. It is not necessary to have a terrace, try on top of a washable tablecloth that you can use as a carpet, or even on the highchair tray. If you have different containers and/or spoons you will also help to experience fine psycho-motor skills. Some sensations will be more pleasurable than others, the important thing is not to force them to experiment with materials they don't like. If your baby is still in the stage of exploring everything with his mouth, never leave him alone playing with these textures. Accompany him, play with him, talk to him about what he's playing.

  1. Mountain cushions. The cushions and pillows of the house can be used to stack them and play to put your little one on top, to see how they manage to go down or vice versa. Leave it at the base to see if they want to climb.

  2. Costume party. For this proposal, you should choose some fun clothes for yourself and your partner, as well as some accessories such as glasses, handbags, scarves, hats, and wear with your little one in front of a mirror. It will be a lot of fun to try the different combinations and watch your little one have fun with Mom and Dad's clothes.

  1. Home battery. Choose some pans and wooden spoons from your kitchen and assemble a battery. Advice: Separate some casseroles, strainers and/or wooden spoons in a drawer that your child has easy access to. Will you see what happens when I visit you while you cook? 9

  2. Games with a blanket. Something as simple as a blanket can give many options. If you are with your partner, they can grab the blanket at each end once the baby is well centered on it and rock it like a hammock. You can also play wrapping and uncovering, rolling, dragging, hiding and uncovering.

I have made all these proposals with my little one and I have observed that those that were not of interest to him, after a while, I began to react and play. The important thing is to go at their pace, without forcing and above all enjoy themselves with them. Observe them without directing the activity unless they do something that may harm them. I hope you enjoy and can give yourselves to the wonderful eternal present in which our children live.
