So this morning…
The kids wake up revving to go, of course. They always do.
I’m still trying to open my eyes and they’re like, “Play with us, play with us.” And I’m grateful they want me to play with them, so I agree to set up the train tracks. Haven't done yoga yet, or properly satisfied my Steemit addiction, but my family comes first.
Of course, they pick the hardest track configuration.
facepalm
Look at this diagram.
Doesn’t that look like fun first thing in the morning? With two toddlers “helping?”
(from Thomas and Friends Track Master set)
All those little pieces. And they're learning to read letters and numbers, so I'm like EC3, and they give me whatever part they think is the right one... Sometimes they get them right, too, which makes me a very proud mommy. But half the time they're pushing the pieces I don't need in my face and I'm like...
sigh
In the end, I managed to get it, and they played on it for a while (so I could play on Steemit).
hooray!
We've also done this configuration...
And we did this set-up yesterday.
I say “we,” but you know who is really putting these things together.
Mommy is doing it. Of course she is. But they have fun playing together, until they either break the tracks apart or start fighting over something. Twins are fun!
Actually, they are. They have a built-in best friend. It’s amazing. I’m grateful for them.
I hope this made you smile, and coaxed your inner child to come out and play!
Take care of yourself. You are a gift!
Peace. @katrina-ariel
It is funny, perhaps if I would've read this 5 hours ago I would've taken the advice of taking care of myself, instead, I am up quite late again and am wondering why I am not asleep. I love all the details you share about the play time and yes the take care of yourself reminder. I must note that one down.
lol! Yes, take care of yourself. Keep your wonderful energy charged up!
Glad you enjoyed the post. Play time is wonderful, whatever it looks like. :)
That looks so much easier to deal with than the wood train set our 3 year old loves. It falls apart if you even glance over your sholder at it. Ugh.
This one falls apart pretty easy, too. Anything with a bunch of pieces... but they love it. At least for a little while. :)
wow..this reminds of my childhood.:)
Hope it made you smile. :)
Watch out not to step on a lego :)
Ack! The dreaded lego underfoot. Toys hurt when you step on them. Sheesh! ;)
Haha! I know what you mean when they wake u to play with them and all u want is sleep!
But then I remind myself that before I know it -
Im going to miss these times when they always want to do things with me! They grow so fast!!
So keep on playing😁 and cherish every moment🤗
Exactly! I have to remember that one day they'll want more space, and they're so darn cute at this age! Enjoy your family. Thanks for the reminder to cherish every moment. :)
Ah yes, my kids do the same. Before my coffee I might manage a simple circle with the tracks. But they are happy, which makes it ok ;)
Happy kids are the best. :)
OMG This reminds me of my childhood , i also like to play with this kind of jumbled track....thanks to kids for refreshing my old memories ..... ;-)
