This is what we were up to when we found that turtle.
There's only so many time a magnet fishing "suggested video" can pop up before you watch one, and only so many that you can watch before you buy a magnet.
This was my first attempt at magnet fishing. While we were able to pull one metal object off of the lake bottom, we also encountered a young Snapping Turtle, which made my day.
We learned a few things, and will definitely try it again soon enough. Enjoy the video!

Never heard if magnet fishing. But that turtle looks at you like your nose is a crunchy Cheeto!
LOL! Some people seem to find various guns, knives, and other treasures when magnet fishing... but not us...
I bet! A gun would be an interesting score. I liked your trap, I haven't seen one like that in a long time.
I think the knot your boy scout tied is called a bowline knot. I've never tied one or tried to tie one, but it's a pretty popular name in knots.

Lol snapping turtles are so feisty! We used to catch the little babies as pets.
And that water is gorgeous! Wonder if you could set up some kind of trolling line where you've got 3 or 4 magnets on one line to increase your coverage.
Brilliant- well I never did magnet from shiny but it’s s good way to clean up trash from rivers even if you don’t find treasure you want to keep. Turtle definitely had a message for you there about it. ❤️🌈🦋🍀🌴

Now that looks like fun! I'm going to have to get me one of those magnets now. I know just the spot! West Fork! In fact, I remember finding a nice watch snorkeling in that river. I wore it for several years after finding it.
Hum, magnet fishing, never heard of it but it does look fun! You just never know what you might find!
