What is your car trouble?

I want to give back to Steemit community and provide some help on something that I know very well. Cars and how to fix them.

Please ask me about your car issue. Won't go into gear. Strange sounds. Don't know if you should take your car in to the shop. Just ask.

Send me the make, model, and year along with car symptoms.

Please remember to VOTE and ReSteem

How do I change the bodywork on a VW golf? Have a second car for parts and want to change a bad scratch.

I recommend getting a manual or search for your specific vehicle on YouTube. All cars are different and many have hidden fasteners or clips. A manual will help here. Body panels often have shims to align the hood, fenders, or doors. It is not easy. Most body panels are an integral part of a unibody. Large cars or trucks will sit on a structural frame while unibody cars like a VW golf will not have a frame. In this case, many of the parts are not removable. Repairs can be done to replace sections of the body, but it takes professional tools.

Thanks for that answer, will do some research and probably not try.

I have a 2008 Vauxhall Zafira and the clutch is starting to fail. It still changes gear OK but is noisy like a clicking sound when depressing.
I'd hope it was just the cable but fear a new clutch will be needed, and that's an £800 job including labour.
Cheers again for the follow and I hope you like my music.
Darren.Hi @socky and thanks for the support with following me and my music journey!

A bad clutch can lead to more damage. If the clutch is not releasing all the way, then gears can be grinding and cause internal damage to the transmission. A clutch release bearing could have failed and causing the noise. If this doesn't get replaced, eventually it will cause damage to the clutch pressure plate. Sometimes it is a simple adjustment that is needed. Most cars these days don't use a clutch cable. They use hydraulic system to transfer the clutch action and there is no adjustment. If it is a click sound coming from pedal, then it could be that the return spring is catching on something.

I recommend having a mechanic test drive our car and give you an opinion. It could save you from causing more damage.
