Fundition.io is a fledgling crowdfunding platform, much like Kickstarter and Indiegogo. What sets it apart, however, is that Fundition is built on top of the Steem blockchain. This would imply that it's a decentralized, blockchain-powered service. But, why exactly would that matter, anyway? Is this just another crowdfunding site?
The answer is no. And let me tell you why.
The answer resides in that Fundition supports campaign donations in both Fiat (via paypal) AND Cryptocurrency! Perhaps the most important aspect of nearly any cryptocurrency project, at all, is the community that it can build: I've seen some of the most positive, incredibly tight-knit communities built around projects. Such a community is the core of what drives a project to success. So not only does Fundition bring together both classic crowdfunding through fiat currency with cryptocurrency (which is an innovation in and of itself), but it extends the tightly-bound communal aspect of cryptocurrency to each and every crowdfunding campaign raised on that platform. Did I mentioned Fundition is powered by Steem?
In my opinion, Fundition.io is destined for success. It may even disrupt the crowdfunding industry as we know it, and for the benefit of what matters to ANY crowdfunding campaign: the creators. I strongly suggest you to check it out for yourself!
Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with Fundition.io in any way, shape, or form. I just think they're pretty damned cool.
