Hello guys, my name is Shaula Dettorre, and this is my contribution to the "Fundition" initiative.
I am a Venezuelan citizen, so I was inspired by the artist Jesus Soto, creator of "the sphere of Caracas" located on the highway "Francisco Fajardo.

A little biography about the author:
One of the main representatives of the kinetic art of the 20th century, Jesús Soto was born in Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela, on June 5, 1923.
From cubist and constructivist influences, he became one of the main representatives of kinetic and optical art.
In 1942 he began a study at the School of Plastic and Applied Arts of Caracas, followed the courses of pure art and teaching, graduated in 1947.
There he meets Carlos Cruz Diez and Alejandro Otero, who would be his companions in the development of kineticism.
In 1950 he traveled to France and settled permanently in Paris (with residence seasons in Venezuela).
Soto, start using hanging rods, suspended by nylon threads, in waterfalls or columns.
In 1973 the Soto Museum was inaugurated in the artist's hometown.
In 1990 he received the Picasso Medal from UNESCO and in 1995 the Grand National Prize for Sculpture in France. In 1997 inaugurates the Sphere of Caracas.
He died in Paris, on January 14, 2005.
