Just In Time for #fungifriday

That's right, fellow fungi lovers, just in time for #fungifriday, and what to my wondering eyes should appear?
Well, take a look for yourselves...

These three were so well hidden I only noticed them today. It takes at least two days for the caps to fully open like this. And, believe me, I been looking! But caught them just in time.
Left the little one like before to spore some more.

Tried to get a shot of the ring before the cap breaks away from the stem.
Nice clear shot of the grass seed silhouette behind it anyway.

So you guys aren't tired of looking at winecaps yet, are you?
Oh good:D

This guy looks so happy:)

Okay, now I will share with you a trick.

I hadn't seen them in weeks, even though I was watering the garden bed pretty much daily with the hose. Day after day I found nothing.

But as day after beautiful sunny day went on, I was getting tired of the time consuming job of watering with the hose and dug out the sprinkler.

All of a sudden mushrooms were popping up like...well...mushrooms!
The sprinkler is obviously much more like rain, and that is clearly much more to their liking.
And just like @sketch.and.jam kept saying, they have established their mycelium :-)

Thanks so much for checking out my post. I will try to have something besides winecaps next time. But on the positive side, odds are anyone that's been reading my post will be able to make a confident identification of the king stropharias mushroom with no problem.
And thanks to @ewkaw for another fun edition of #fungifriday:)

Doh I missed this fungi post. Hilarious how it is planted inside your house.

Doh I posted it to my blog by mistake:/

Yeah I did that this week to my fungi friday post too lol.

Who knew, hahaha about the sprinkler. That mushroom looks like he is holding out arms with a joyful poise. Good one.

Must have missed this comment. Everyone likes that photo. He probably wouldn't be so happy if he knew what happens next...
