This is a great place recently relocated down the street from the original location in the downtown area of Visalia.
I dont food blog much but this is some interesting pizza and soooooooo good!
) Their first location was part of the original Visalia Planing Mill. Founded in 1851, the mill crafted specialty wood products for generations of Visalians. In fact, many older homes and businesses in town have doors and cabinets that were hand-crafted right here on our property. In honor of this legacy, and as a reflection of their commitment to artisanship, the name fits.

To deliver an exceptional guest experience through consistently prepared, fresh, high-quality good, served in a safe, clean, fun environment, with a focus on genuine guest service.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Great food, great beer, excellent service.
The Food
They found the best pizzerias up and down the West Coast as inspiration, in order to bring a unique pizzeria menu to the Central Valley. The crust is best described as a California/New Haven-style mash-up. It’s made fresh daily, and proofed for 24-48 hours. It comes out a bit on the thicker side. They make everything from scratch, so please be advised that wait times may be a tad longer than you may be used to at other pizzerias. The wait is worth it.
I had a local double ipa.
The Beer
Oh yes, they have 21 beers on tap, all of them craft, most of them from California. If you have a question or would like to taste something before you order, please ask one of our certified Cicerone beertenders. We also offer a wide variety of canned and bottled beers, plus four types of wine on tap.
THE EXPERIENCE
The Planing Mill offers a lively atmosphere where friends and families enjoy spending time together over a delicious pie. Grab a table for in the main dining area, belly up to the bar, or sip a brew while playing cornhole or simply relaxing in the sweet patio area. It might get loud, but it will be fun!

Our Experience
While we waited we had the opportunity to play some corn hole. On the patio by a nice fire pit.
The Appetizers
We had beer battered mushrooms and avocado bruschetta goodness. And of course cheesy bread.
The pizza
We had a funky chicken, 3 little pigs and a tai pie pizza.
The Beer
I had a local double ipa that complemented the flavor of the pizza well.
And The table was an old industrial spindle. Very cool decor too. Modern and classic vibe.
They even have a food challenge I think we could give it a shot but you only get 30mins and 8 people to finish a giant pizza.

Wow this place is amazing, and you got some incredible photos of it! Loving the pizza range - is that literally a pizza with noodles on?
And they even have a lawn with a fire pit, it's a place of wonder although I have no idea what corn hole game might be?

Hey super thanks my friend, yea this place is great, good food for sure. It's not noodles its thin onion rings on a bbq style pork pizza.
Corn hole is a game with bean bags that you toss and try to get it in a hole, not easy but fun for camping and stuff, it's a pretty big thing people to here in cali.
