I am fairly new here. Can you explain to me what it means to "power down"? Thanks!

    Power down is a sort of withdrawal process for your steem power. Lets say you have 800sp and you hit the power down button so a to withdraw lets 80sp to be either converted to steem of steem dollar. So that in turn you can pull out either your steem coin or steem dollar
