Before I had a kid, I never was really interested in holding other peoples babies. I didn't not like them, follow that double negative, but they just were not my thing. I preferred people who could talk, so when I would tell people congrats, and would say "O what a cute girl" and then be corrected that it was a boy. I never thought it was easy to determine, what a little baby was, especially if they were not in a dress or some clothing that gave it away.
But now, I am getting pay back, it seems to happen that everyone thinks my little girl is a boy, and I am like can't you see it is a girl. The ones that get me, are the people who see her in a pink dress, and ask what is his name. I just laugh and say Hope. I don't even correct people anymore. It really has became a inside joke with me and my wife.
Welcome to the club. We had an older lady ask us the name of our little boy, and then after we corrected her and told the lady our baby was a girl. The lady then said "oh ok, he's really cute" lol
I’ve been there. Pink dress just isn’t enough of a sign for some people. It is scary how clueless some people can be. When it comes to other people’s babies I take the safe route and just say “What a cutie.” Never attach a gender. Just creates an opportunity to be wrong. Then you can follow up with “How old?” Again, no gender attached. At some point they have to say “HE” or “SHE”. Manipulate and control the situation. Lol
Ya, that is what I use to do, now I just ask. Can't get mad if you tell me wrong.
that is a good way
Lol. It sure is had to determine if a baby is girl or a boy, it hardly shows on their face....
I gave you an upvote on your post! Please give me a follow and I will give you a follow in return and possible future votes!
Today post is really funny. It happens with my niece though she looks like a boy and my sister was just correcting everyone until she got tired.
she is so cute
Haha pretty much a pay back! I guess there’s something exceptional about her that keeps giving people that impression
Honestly, it's difficult to determine the sex of a little baby, at least for me. So, it has been my culture to always ask if the baby is a girl or a boy.
Congratulations for the new born baby
lolz as you are saying hope to get those feelings someday ;)
by the way lolz what is his name ;)
JK
Hope sure is a beautiful name !Reminds me of the TV series Originals .
If the baby is a girl, she will have with tendrils, but if the baby is a boy, we will always he wear blue, and many will be wrong. Often happens.
