I like the way you write, you make sure the reader is hooked!
As far as I go, the most recent stupid thing I've done for someone was when a guy from Armenia, who I had met a few months earlier in an Erasmus+ project, asked me to help him out as he was going to do another project in Italy, my country. As I had (I underline the had) a good relationship with most of the people I met in that project I found him all the bus timetables (the project was in a small village in the Northeast, the kind of stuff that you need to know the language to figure out how to get there), looked up info just to help him and even offered to host him, as 3 other people from that project did the same for me.
Not only did he never thank me and he would write to me only looking for information... he actually came to Milan, which is 1 hour away from where I live, and did not warn me at all! Not only that, another guy from that project was in Milan and didn't tell me! But, I partly forgive the second guy as he was with his wife and small child. The worst was when these two guys took a picture together. It sucks to be considered the reunion maker yet, when people come to your town, nobody hits you up.
Thanks!
Yeah that sucks. It was not a classy move on his part at all.
