Lol, for those of us that missed the opportunity to buy as many steem as possible and power up when steem was below 1USD ( or currently still cheap), be ready to see your children disappointed in you when they hear the story. I am confidence that steem price will moon (500USD+) in few years’ time (due to the capabilities of steem blockchain ) and we all will look back at this time and beat ourselves on the head for ignoring the opportunity.
Ignore haters fuding and throwing dirt on cryptos because they want emotion sellers to panic and sell off , so that they will buy it cheap or even secure their monopolies ( Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Facebook, Google, Central Governments, Banks et al) . Importantly, try to gradually buy steem and power up (if you have the cash) in order not to be attacked by your children (see above picture) in the future …..Lol.
Moreover, Steem power will give you the opportunity to make more money now and in the future (see my older posts for details). I wish you all a blessed week.

I can laugh now but not so much back then! :-) I have been looking into buying some Steem and trying to get my head around this cryptocurrency thing but I am still a bit lost. In the end it is a calculated gamble - like many things in life. If your belief is strong, invest in Steem with fiat that you don't need in the short term. I don't think it is a good idea to sell a crypto in the current market to buy Steem, though.

Amount of SP depends on your free money to invest. However gradual growth is key.

I support you for this kind of situation where we are skeptical to buy steem, but I think it still on a bear market and will fall in months in my opinion due to continues lack of support of governments and news media to blockchain and cryptocurrency for now. But I can say it will grow in the near future and this coming June of 2018 it will be sure a great bull will surely goes on top.
