There is a profound problem in communication between people. One says one thing, the other one gets another, we misinterpret words, sentences, we alter the meanings, we misunderstand, we get confused and tension is being created in our relationships.
Do I blame us?
No.
Bear VS Bare

There there... A bare bear... A grisly grizzly maybe...
Pea Vs Pee

-"I gotta pee"
-"Oh I also got a pea"
Exercise VS Exorcise

Both quite frightening...
Aisle VS Isle

I would love a private one, either way
Maze VS Maize

Both maze and maize are ama(i)zing
Throne VS Thrown

Truth be told...Someone has to be "thrown" to get the throne...
There is a second problem in this area. Sometimes the way people from different areas of the world pronounce the same English word is different enough that they don't understand each other. Perhaps all communication should be in writing?
That's true!! When I was in Australia our tour guide told us that the Aussies pronounce "six for sex and sex for six"... Imagine how big of a problem can that be -Sex o clock may sound weird... So yes, in writing such problems can easily be avoided.. :)
"Sex o'clock" - Is that also Happy Hour?
hahahah oh yup!!
