I'm with you. I don't mind turning off my brain when I'm with my kids. But the new Alien movie drove me insane with some of the stupidity!

I haven't seen that one... Not super likely to do so either, as I generally find the "horror" genre off-putting. ;)
P.S. I did recently enjoy "Passengers," however... :D
Really. I did not like the previews but I like the actors. Maybe I should give it a try.
"Passengers" didn't have any of "those moments" where I felt they could have hired a high school physics student to review the science...
I was disappointed by "Interstellar," but felt that "Passengers" had a great and quite believable story line. Plenty of human (and robotic/A-I!) interest, beautiful sets and CGI, and a satisfying outcome. (I'm a sucker for happy endings!) :D
