To be fair, it seems like the biggest step you took was "moving back home." For many of us who have careers that are localized in only one area, that's not an option. So how do you recover from the brink of being broke when you: 1. Make close to minimum wage for 40-60 hours per week (eliminating the possibility of a second job), 2. Possess crushing student loan debt, and 3. Lose a significant chunk of your income due to rent (see: localized careers, causing everyone who wants a similar career to live in this metroplex)?
