We've all been there- feeling good in mommy's arms and enjoying our milk a bit too much until one day we just don't like what we see anymore. Our clothes feel tight, our diaper size goes up and we start hearing "Oh he's so big" more and more. Even our neck seems to grow bigger and we get these weird thigh rolls that our mommies seem to find adorable. Don't panic! It's never too late to start exercising and get into shape!
Just to prove that this is something I have succeeded in, here are my before and after shots.
Here is a photo of me right before I decided I needed to take some action:
And this is me now- my new healthier and happier self:
Now I'm going to show you my step by step guide of how I achieved these results and most importantly, how I managed to keep the weight off.
Step one: Eating a healthy diet
Yep, that's right. What you eat is really important. It doesn't matter how much you exercise if your diet is not good. And I don't mean that you have to starve yourself- just the opposite. If you skip a meal, there is a big probability that you will either overeat later or you will reach for an unhealthy snack, so best advice is- if you're hungry, just eat but eat healthy! Your mommy is surely going to be very supportive of that!
Step two: Take long walks in the park
Walking is great- exercise for the body and the mind! If you feel like you're just about to have a full out tantrum, try to walk it off! If it doesn't work, don't feel bad- crying and screaming is actually a very good way to keep your abs in shape!
Step three: Push ups
Great for your biceps, great for your abs! As you can see, you can do them randomly whenever and wherever you feel like it!
Step four: Swimming
If you don't have the proper facilities, swimming in the bath tub is just as good!
Step five: Horse riding
If you don't have a horse, a daddy is a wonderful replacement. Now, he might say "Lucas, no!" a few times but if you really want it, you will find the way to do it!
Step six: Sleep plenty
Yeah, this is just my favorite step! Good rest is the key to having the energy to exercise PLUS being tired makes you feel hungry.
Step seven: Drink a lot of water
I don't really need to explain this. Yes, mommy's milk is yummy and we all love it but water is also very important for us!
Step eight: Break the rules (cheat days):
Because enjoying life is way too important! At least once a month you should spoil yourself with a treat!
Step nine: Housework
Yeah, you may not like it but housework burns a lot of calories without making you feel hungry the way regular exercise does so mop away!
