I actually met him asking for food the other day! I knew he was kind of familiar. Fortunately, I had some nuts for him. All is good! If I see him again I tell him to go back to you. I tell him you miss him.

No, I doubt it. But they tend to come back once they realize how great it was back than. He just needs a break, he just needs some time alone. We all do at some point right?
I mean, if he leaves - do you really think that I should take him back? Will I ever be able to trust him again after that?
Personally, I do believe in second chances. However, If the same thing happened more than once already, than I don’t think you have a choice.
