While things like a bag of cash or a pile of ancient gold coins would be a welcomed sight if found in your yard, not every discovery turns into something good.

#11 - Another Snake
The snake in this picture is clearly no longer a danger to anyone. It is creepy to know that there was a big snake sleeping in the middle of a tree when the person decided to cut it down. Just imagine if these two had run across each other in the yard. The snake would have had the upper hand if that had been the case. Instead, it met a gruesome end.

#10 - Explosives
Back in 2013, an interesting and scary discovery was made in one man’s backyard in the Czech Republic. He, like most in this video, wanted to transform his backyard, so he started by trying to pull up some old tree stumps. What he thought started out as a simple project soon turned into something much more when he found something underneath the stumps. Not wanting to touch the discovered items, he called law enforcement who then proceeded to remove dozens of hand grenades and TNT explosives dating back to WWII.

#9 - A Giant Sinkhole
The sight in this picture is one of a homeowner’s worst nightmares. The giant hole is a sinkhole, and chances are, it’s just going to get bigger. A sinkhole occurs when the solid material underneath the surface layer of ground becomes soft or erodes away. Once all of the support is gone, the surface collapses regardless of whether there are roads, cars, or even homes sitting on top. Anything can end up in a giant sinkhole.

#8 - A Lace Monitor
Can anyone guess where this picture was taken? It was taken in Australia. The Lace Monitor isn’t known for attacking humans but that’s still not a face we want to see when looking out our window. This is yet another reminder to never move to Australia. Why is everything so big? It’s insane!

#7 - A Creepy Clown Jack In The Box
Here is another clown discovery that we sincerely wish we hadn’t stumbled across. We honestly couldn’t tell you which one was worse, the real life clown or the sinister Jack in the Box pictured here. We know that the guy dressed as a clown is out to hurt us, but where is the creator of this terrifying toy and what are they trying to accomplish?

#6 - Huntsman Spiders
Any sort of spiders in our books aren’t OK but the Huntsman Spiders are a species that are far too scary for their own good. As you can see, the spider in this image is massive, and since it’s actually larger than other members of its species, it would be an even more terrifying discovery found amongst the leaves in your backyard.

#5 - Bombs
We really don’t know how this was allowed to happen but thousands of residential homes were built over a plot of land that was once used as a World War II bombing range. The 12,000 acre area is located in Orlando, Florida and coming across a WWII bomb even today isn’t that uncommon. The first bomb was discovered near a running track at a high school in 1998. Since then, hundred more have been found both on school property as well as in the backyards of residential communities. That’s not a risk we’re willing to take.

#4 - A Tub Full Of Fun
It’s just like Australia to give us the plastic bin full of fun you see in this picture. A man who was doing some yard work happened upon a massive funnel spider. After capturing it and going back to his work, he soon found another, and another. As if like a story from a nightmare novel, this poor man discovered that he had an infestation of funnel spiders living in his backyard. As if that wasn’t enough, there was also a giant centipede which you can also see has been collected in this bucket.

#3 - A Submarine
Given all of the secrecy and danger that usually surrounds submarines, we don’t think it would be great to see one just pop up in your backyard. The one pictured here might not have any missiles onboard, but even if it was just sitting there spying on people, it would be an unnerving sight to see. Especially in an area where your kids play.

#2 - An Alligator
It’s common knowledge that alligators are found all over Florida. It’s really their home and not humans, since they really seem to go about just how they please. Just like the alligator that found his way into a family’s pool in this picture, which of course, happened in Florida. This gator was an impressive 8-feet! Don’t worry, it was later taken to a habitat in Arcadia.

#1 - A Secret Room
Whenever you find out a secret, there is a part of you that is in shock and awe and ready to explore the unknown at the same time. The secret of the backyard in this picture, however, looks like something we would rather avoid. This looks like a place where a murderer takes their victims and we’re not trying to get our name added to that list. This is just one of those times where you put the cover back, pack your things, and move. Hopefully, whatever’s in there won’t follow you to your new place.
