Hi. I just read trafalgar's long piece and plan on getting into the gruesome swamp that is the comment section before forming a full opinion.
I think your short content, like this one, is strong. I show some to my wife and she laughs. Sometimes you miss and sometimes I miss the joke. But not often enough to worry about it.
I appreciate your help with my content. All of my jokes since the time you asked about them have come from scratch, for better or worse, but it is tough as fuck to maintain a daily release. I am new here and still experimenting so I am posting other things, not jokes, to other tags also.

less so in interactions then writing from scratch but it happens
of course we try to keep the miss rate down, but this isn't a medium where you can get feedback to hone a standup routine, you take your time to think it up, then fire it out
I'll be less active, probably 0-3 shorts in a day, rather than 5-8, we'll see how that works out

In all honesty, I thought my short pieces were good and worth at least $50. I wasn't rallying support from my post, but asking for an opinion.
While there's a lot of people who agree with me, they're people that frequently interact with my posts. I have to assume there are many more silent dissenting voices. Which means I actually feel you're right, my stuff doesn't have the market value that I'm asking for, and it's only fair that I stop producing them.
In all honesty I was very reluctant to do it even for the amount I was self voting. I made this new account to not exploit existing curation trail. And genuinely thought it'd be worth at least the self vote as it's borderline excruciatingly difficult to produce. From looking at the verdict, I'm wrong.
I'm not that greedy or I woudln't have disappeared for 4 months when Steem was at its highest because I had a lot of issues to take care of, still do. Just couldn't really justify making less than passive income if I was producing content, thus those votes.
I think you mean well for the platform and cop a lot of flak from a lot of people. You won't get that from me. I hope everything is well at your end. I'll likely be taking a very much less active role on here barring some very big last minute changes of opinion. I think it's only fair.
