Page 4: my CV

in #futurewhales7 years ago (edited)

I'm proud to share my CV with you even though I'm not looking for a job :)

All the places I've been travelling through since 1983 are painted in pink.
In some places I stayed only a short time, in others I lived a few years.
This CV was not made in order to look for a job as when I need to make money I usually create my own job but I learnt a lot of things through the different countries I travelled and so this participates in building my culture, years after leaving schools and university.
For example I learnt Spanish while travelling in South America, I learnt to read and write Hindi (Urdu) during the two years I spent in India, I learnt to drive a motor bike in Washington state, I learnt scuba diving in the Maldives islands, etc…
I learnt many things and I keep learning as today I'm learning Bishlama, Vanuatu special language but mainly I learnt a lot about people in all these pink spots and it seems to me that all, almost all the people on this planet want the same thing: everybody wants to find love, have a family, work and if they can get some holidays sometimes then it's perfect and if they can't then it doesn't really matter.
Unluckily it's not these people who rule the world and this explains why it goes worse and worse everyday…
Wise people try to be responsible for their own life and don't want to impose anything on others; wicked people want to force everybody to do what they decided is the best for us when in fact all that matters to them is to fill up their pockets with money and sometimes it's even worse as some will kill you if you don't comply and I'll talk later about the ones who just want to destroy the planet completely…

But lets go back to 1983 and see why I decided to leave France.
At that time I was studying medicine at the university and before I went through the 8 years it takes to become a doctor I could already clearly see my future, all to way to the day I would die of old age. Either I succeeded in my medical studies and then I would live in a big house across the street from my mother's or I would fail and end up being a dentist which meant shorter studies and a house maybe even bigger…
In any case it was very boring, probably very comfortable but very boring and so, aged 21 I was waiting for the first opportunity to escape and see the world.
It came as within 10 days I sold a couple of pictures to some French magazines, posed as a model for Paulo Roversi and then got a phone call from an ex Kiwi girlfriend who was then near Seattle and begged me to come over and stay with her!
Three days after her call I was sitting in a plane, not knowing what would happen once I would have spent the one thousand US$ I had left after buying the return flight from Paris to Seattle but I never felt so good in my life!
Finaly I was free and I was going to do what I wanted; I never regretted it.
