The G20, Germany and "Green Energy"

in #g207 years ago

Moin Steemians,

These days everywhere you hear about the G20 that takes place in Hamburg.

According to some News (NYT, Independant, FTD) USAs President Donald Trump will miss the climate discussion. It is very likely that he will insist on his hard line regarding the climate change and the Paris climate agreement.

Today I sat in a small Café in wonderful Potsdam and listened to two girls from South Korea. They were talking about the things going on in Hamburg and Trump and Germany and the green energy and the nuclear phase-out. After a few minutes I joined the discussion and got to know, that Germany plays a big role in South Korea, especially in connection with clean, green energy.

That is right. I think Germany did great with the nuclear phase-out and can rightly be called as an Idol.

But there is also a dark side. Green energy is highly costintensive. Let me give you an example:

The example has to wait.

This post will be continued soon.

Sort:

Windfram are very cost intensive but on the other end solar farm not so much because it require alot less maintenance and such.its the market that will make the balance tip toward green energy the day it will be cheaper than focile fuel everybody will make the move .we need to push research on green energie even more. And keep an eye open for good investment opportunity.

The costs for a windfarm are negligible in comparison to the profit for the energy companies.

In the following example you´ll see the costs for the nature. It´s really shocking.

In quebec winfarm was waste of money and ineffective .it was only done to put a green face on the elected people of the moment.solar farm seem the way to go especially im remote locations in compagnon whit batteries just lime tesla did on a island of Hawaii. Im following to catch your example.
