As a young man i remember being a metal music enthusiast "metal head" ment at least a loose familiarity with MySpace. Crawling around searching for music you would see the early stages of modern societies obsession with vanity, personalities, and most of all, themselves, and even then, knowing the Internet was the social future. Facebook got me one day, at first by tapping into my workaholic side, then through my video game friends. But when my future wife and i were seperated for a time, Facebook became her preferred means of staying close to me. It soon connected me to like minded individuals on a range of topics, and by the time it was fully integrated with smartphones, had its own messenger.. I begrudgingly knew they had me. Then the censorship became too obvious. https://www.projectveritas.com/tag/twitter/
The scientific evidence on its links to depression, the big social media companies openly admitting to mind control, sandboxing, that is, isolating people from thoughts and ideas they don't want you to see, and the shadow banning to name a few... I committed to fully decoupling from the machine..

I was a few years ahead of the exodus, but as a liberty minded individual, i was happy to be among the first to leave. Gab, steemit and others were still far away, a few years i believe, being as i was out of the scene by 2013, with the exception of my anti government political posting, and my Facebook messenger app.... so.. in other words.. they still had me. By 2015 my delusion had begun to crumble, and like an alcoholic admitting that a few shots in the morning, and two with lunch to stave off the shakes was not quitting, i fully abandoned human society, and... never...posted...again..
Since i do still like to hear a human voice from time to time, through my regular stream of podcasts i heard of gab.ai on the alternative media, and thought to give it a shot. A year later, it still exists.. so i devised to begin gassing up this bulldozer.
This article is just that actually..
As i resolved to not only make no presence on the freedom hating silicon Valley sultan platforms, but to actively make content ONLY for the pro-freedom platforms
The honest truth is, these dinosaur platforms like Facebook and twitter really were making me, and people around me unhappy. They were divisive, and they contributed to negative patterns in my relationships. Good riddance.
