I used to be a perfectionist and even after working on something for weeks or even months, wouldn't release it because it wasn't good enough in my eyes. This was seeded in fear of failure and the need to appear competent to my peers, I have since trusted in a 'good enough' approach where I set specific goals about whatever it is that I'm working on, give it a once over, and release it. When it comes to instincts, part of the trick is to be able to trust in yourself and not worry too much what other people think.
