Potentially I suppose. Winners know when to quit... it is like that in almost every walk of life.

That’s the problem. Winners (those who are addicts I mean) don’t know when to walk away and continue to spend until there’s nothing left. Been there, done that, won’t be doing it again :)

Addicts can't be winners because they play dice against the law of large numbers, but I get rekt in the short game too :P
