After getting back to Outpost Zimonja with Piper, I got word from the bartender there that the bikini contest at Nordhagen Beach was still on for Friday night which was only two days from now. I left Piper at Outpost Zimonja and headed south to finally get this event behind me. I looked forward to the contest but I did worry about how it would unfold. I had sent out the invitations casually forgetting to mention it was Skinny Malone's club. I had merely stated that there would be a bikini contest at an outlandish new nightclub in Nordhagen Beach. I had no way of knowing if anyone would show up at all.
I made it to the club by 7p.m., two hours ahead of the slated start of the event. I was relieved to see that people were already forming a line and Skinny was standing at the door ready to collect the cover charge. A slight commotion began when Elder Maxon and Captain Kells of the Brotherhood of Steel showed up via vertibird. They immediately went to the head of the line expecting V.I.P. treatment which they promptly received. Skinny had two of his girls escort the men inside and make them comfortable. He did the same for Desdemona with the Railroad, Mayor Mcdonough of Diamond City, Allie Filmore with the Institute and finally Sturges representing the Minutemen. I suppose Preston Garvey was too busy looking after the other 3 that were left in Sanctuary which was fine with me. Sturges may not have been the sharpest tool in the shed when it came to tinkering, but he certainly was cool to hang out with.
The start of the event had to be delayed for 30 minutes because so many people showed up that Skinny was having trouble collecting their money but when everyone was finally in, Skinny stepped up on the stage to start the show. The contestants were to draw numbers to determine their order of appearance and after every 5th contestant had been on the stage, he would have the crowd pick from those 5 who should advance. This would be repeated until there were just five finalists. When Skinny was sure everyone understood the rules, he yelled into the microphone "Let's get this party started!".
The first contestant to appear was Penny Fitzgerald from Covenant.
The crowd loved her and showed their approval with a standing ovation. As she exited the stage, the next contestant was already coming into view. It was Overseer Gwen McNamara from Vault 81.
Gwen also received a standing ovation and as she left the stage everyone's favorite traveling merchant walked up on it. Cricket's trade caravan travels all over the Commonwealth. Most everyone there knew her.
Irma from the Memory Den in Goodneighbor was next and although not as well known as Cricket, many in the crowd had at one time or another spent time in one of her loungers including myself.
Next up and the last of the first five contestants was my personal favorite, Trudy from Drumlin Diner. She had come a long way in a very short time.
With Trudy walking off the stage to thunderous applause, Skinny stepped up to begin polling the audience on who should advance to the next round.

I up-voted your comment cause it made me laugh.
I mean everything in my article is original. The link Cheetah uses as proof is a word generator. Stupid bot...
I have picked my contestant but I will have to keep it a secret.
All of them are worthy of my vote though.
