OMG the memories this brought. I started playing EQ way back (2000?), I started when Ruins of Kunark was released. What a game!!! The first true MMO of significance and what a ride it was. It met a quick death when Sony released EQ2 which was soon followed by the release of the World of Warcraft franchise. Obsession isn't a strong enough word to describe my involvement. I played every night after work and come Friday I would play almost nonstop until midnight Sunday. This is one game that has become so forgotten that a major game developer could pick it up and use all the same content and game system and just update all the visuals and it would again be a sure-fire hit. Hope to see more post, I might even need to revisit this game and start a new character.
