I haven't named this yet. For now it's 'Unnamed Project Number Two'. It's so early it doesn't have the core gameplay, but I'm throwing this out there.
All you have to do is unzip and run the exe (windows). I also uploaded the linux version.
If you don't have a gaming rig, I suggest lowering the graphics settings. (configuration window will popup when you run the file)

Turning off 'post processing effects' is another option if your computer is slow.
↓
If you have gtx1060 or higher, max settings should probably work. Detailed polishing and optimization is for later stages, but most basic mechanics should work. If you encounter any critical bugs (and know how to trigger it) please let me know because I might reward you.

I hope to get time to give this a go @roundbeargames but for now awesome work on that camera death animation it's great. The punching impact also looks good.

Your game runs and plays quite well on Linux. The only technical remark I have is that attack doesn't work, when you are moving your character. Is this intended or is it just not implemented yet?

i couldn't get it to work on an old macbook but that i'll figure it out soon enough.
i didn't write running attack yet 😆 you can only do an uppercut when transitioning from running to idle. just me being lazy. still have so much work to do lol

Awesome, I will give it a try tomorrow when the DisplayPort to HDMI cable arrives. Got a Oculus Rift for the boy - didn't realise the GTX1070 only has 1 HDMI and 3 DisplayPort so currently can only either have the Rift hooked up or disconnect it to see the pc desktop.

yes most cards i've seen only come with 1 hdmi port. have you tried using these little things?
Thank you very much, I ordered a DisplayPort cable with hdmi at the other end which arrived today thanks to amazon prime. Of course it was not as easy as plugging it in, zero display after multiple reboots. Ended up having to go back to the old cable hdmi hdmi, mess with a bunch of the bios settings in the B350 Tomahawk motherboard because UEFI boot for peripherals messes with it - and a few more reboots it works fine now!

i did a mac version as well but couldn't get it to work on my macbook. maybe the os is too old. i'll figure something out later 😆

i've been thinking about that. i've made a simple lottery on steem before, but real-time 3d games require much faster verifications (at least 60 frames per second! 😆) so it's nearly impossible. but certain things like sharing gameplay or unlocking items etc can be integrated with steem but not the entire video game. i'll have to decide later exactly which part of this game will be onchain :)
There must be a way! Like only making the initial start and finish confirmations on the blockchain and not the entire game. I’d love to see a steemArcade ! I know this is some way forward thinking but just imagine steemFighters , and SteemGalaga , now if these games could be licensed or an original game made is beyond me but SteemArcade needs to happen dude! I was just thinking of this then saw the post by chance
