best place to find a copy of Unity?

So, I've just purchased the basic tutorials and stuff, but find myself wanting to start using the programs and execute some of the stuff I'm learning in the tutorials to drive it home for my brain. Not sure that I'm ready to outright purchase the entire program at this point, without sampling it.

Watching tutorials is super helpful, but I'm one of those folks who like to learn stuff by doing. Or atleast tinkering around.

Which leads me to believe, my first GPU is going to burn into embers once I start my first mining rig up. As soon as the parts come in. But!! first a few questions!

Do you happen to know if there's a suitable bootleg available?

Is it more worthwhile purchasing the program outright?

If I decide to go with a bootleg, will my content still be publishable?

I dont believe it's even a real question as to whether or not its worth the investment to purchase it, but I'm wanting to make sure the program is something I want to get a handle on.

It looks like it streamlines the process, and I'll grasp a large skill set under good guidance.

So, these are things I'm thinking about.

I wouldn't use a bootleg. Do you mean a different product?

No, I meant a bootleg of unity. Looks like I need to upgrade my subscription. Hope I can apply the difference.

Looks like I'd have to cough up the total again, after just purchasing my subscription yesterday. Oof! startup fever is strong!

Unity personal is free. Do you really need the pro features?

I'm using Unity personal as well. As long as you don't make more than $100000/year or need plus/pro features you can start with the free edition and upgrade at any time.

Looks like I'm gonna have to take another look. Lost my tech saaviness over the last decade.
