5K vs 7K players Part 2

in #games7 years ago

Hey guys, I’m continuing where I started yesterday on the comparison between the players from these respectable mmrs; so if you haven’t be sure to check out my previous post!

So onto the next point, itemization. I have realized that 5k players generally do not stray away from builds that much. And even if they do, it might not be the best option for the game they are currently in. 7k players tend do build items in reaction to the opponents faster than the other ranks do. For example, we commonly see a 16-20minute aeon disk build on cores if there is a faceless void in the opponent team, or anyone with high insta kill abilities.

Next up would be securing runes. I feel that alot of players nowadays do not comprehend how important securing the runes are these days. While many 5k players will try to fight over the runes, they do not accurately judge whether or not it’s beneficial to die for the runes sometimes. 7k players make better judgements regarding that, as they will have long drawn fights at the runing areas when it is appropriate to, especially in the earlier game phases.

Of course, last but not least, is their individual skills on certain heroes. 7k players are 7k and not 5k because they have incredible control over their own hero. The understandings of their own heroes surpasses most of those who are below 6k, which makes them incredibly difficult to play against if our skills are not on par.

The difference between 7k and 5k is actually not too big, from what I've seen, like you said, itemization is one of the key differences, and also decision making. 5k players have most of the knowledge they need to get to 7k, its just that they don't use it, nor do they actually focus on getting there. The ones that do, they get there.

I think the major key is that 5k is still 'solo-minded' while 7k players have more teamplay

Oh, yes that too! 7ks know their role in the team, like for example a 5k dude that plays a core in a one core lineup will try to counter the enemies strongest hero in a 2-3 core lineup thinking its his job, when he could just get tanky so he becomes the problem. Things like that and just thinking its gotta be them that win the game loses games sometimes
