With games like fortnite and CSGO, it leaves less room to discuss the importance of proper gaming equipment. The mouse used by players are widely regarded as the most important thing in their setup, along with a monitor with high refresh rate. A player playing on a 60hz monitor vs a player on a 144hz monitor makes a huge difference if skill gap is around the same.
DotA, however, is a game that I feel do not need these extra equipment to be played well. Just a typical mouse and keyboard, paired with a normal monitor would do. The basis is as DotA, much like most other MobA games, are more mentally dependant than externally dependant. Aside from quick reactions, equipments would generally not boost player performances in these games.
Of course, some players might prefer to play with macro keys. This would be slightly advantageous if playing with a hero that requires alot of repetitive clicking such as Meepo. But generally, even the pros don’t use macros to play on these heroes.
