Tomb Raider is a franchise that certainly has had its ups and downs over the last couple of decades. What started out with so much potential quickly fell to the SNK curse by the third game and continued off and on with hits/misses sprinkled throughout the releases. Recently it has surfaced that there are some concept art pieces for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the next game in the franchise.
Tomb Raider started life on the Sony Playstation and Sega Saturn consoles around the later part of the 1990’s. The first thing that caught the eye of gamers was that you were controlling a woman, if not for the crappy polygons I would have said a “curvaceous” woman (later games expanded her body to that style and back). The Sega Saturn only got in on the action for the initial release as rumors of Sony dropping a butt load of money in the laps of Core Design rang across the industry. Core management have stated many times it was just easier to get more out of the Sony Playstation so they focused there (could they have meant money too?).

The concept art images were leaked when a developer was working on the art while riding the subway in Montreal. Shadow of the Tomb Raider promotional product is being handled by TakeOff, a branding agency out of Los Angeles known for creating trailers, collectibles, websites, trophies, etc.
