Developed by Frima Studio and published by Microïds, Chariot was initially released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2014, before coming out the following year on Wii U. Earlier this year, the publisher announced a release of the title on Nintendo Switch, without giving any other exit window than this year. However, the listing of the eShop console has been updated, and now offers a specific date for Super Chariot.
Every week, many games appear on the eShop of the Nintendo Switch. Whether exclusives like the recent Castle of Heart, or portages, the catalog of the console continues to grow over the days. Microïds obviously did not waste time before adapting its catalog to the latest Nintendo console, as evidenced by the recent Flashback announcement on Switch, or the porting of the Syberia license. This time, place in Super Chariot who found a date.
So May 10 will be released Super Chariot on the latest console Nintendo. It will be sold for 19.99 euros in its dematerialized version on the eShop, and will also be released in physical format at the same time, for the price of 29.99 euros. In terms of features, it will be possible to play two in local mode whether you are on TV or mobile mode. The Super Chariot edition will contain the basic game, but also the DLC Royal Gadget Pack and its downloadable soundtrack. The game will be available in French and will weigh 469 MB during the installation.
In terms of the title itself, Super Chariot is presented as a platform game in 2D, playable entirely in cooperation. You play as a princess and her fiance, who embark on an adventure full of twists. It's up to you to maneuver the deceased King's coffin on wheels through 25 levels and accompany him to his resting place. The gameplay is relatively simple, but many challenges await you, as well as many secret passages and treasures. If you want to learn more about the title, do not hesitate to read the test we made on the Wii U version.
