hmm, i wonder how far away are we from the kind of gaming universe we saw in the movie, Ready Player One? with the intersection of AI and gaming, it could be very soon. the key is can we play in such a way that we cannot distinguish between real characters and those AI supported ones?
it is clear that gaming is moving away from the edge device. into the cloud once and for all? maybe even away from the peer to peer model?
That is a really good question. I think that the VR technology is getting pretty insane, along with procedural generation being in its early phases in regards to gaming. As those two technologies combine and improve we are in for some pretty awesome games!
