Welcome back, readers and viewers! This mission had a little twist than the others because it involves escorting Liu Bei’s family and slaying two generals. If the slaying was successful, they would then be able to escape on the boats provided up north. I failed seven times playing this mission because I did not know the routes to escape, the boats were not anchored near the shore and I was too slow on handling Lord Guan capability to cast spells to further enhance his fight. As I played the missions repeatedly, I was able to familiarize myself with how to go towards completing the mission successfully. Below are the prologue and the dialogues. (I forgot to put the voiceover introductions at the beginning of the video) Signing off! Sejuk!
Prologue
Liu Bei and Cao Cao had together annihilated Lu Bu. Later, Liu Bei was recognized as an imperial relative of the Emperor. He became known as “Imperial Uncle Liu”. At that time, Cao Cao intended to acclaim himself the Emperor. He then invited the Emperor to a grand hunt and proceeded to belittle and insult the Emperor and his ministers during the hunt.
Afterwards, Dong Cheng, Ma Teng and others received the girdle mandate from the Emperor and made a secret plot to assassinate Cao Cao. As one of the participants in the girdle mandate plot, Liu Bei pretended to plant and tend vegetables in his back garden to avoid arousing Cao Cao’s suspicions. By doing this, Liu Bei was able to bide his time to await a more favourable opportunity to strike against Cao Cao.
After Yuan Shu declared himself Emperor, he acted so unscrupulously that he became utterly isolated. With no other alternative, Yuan Shu sought refuge from his estranged brother, Yuan Shao. Liu Bei took the opportunity to borrow troops from Cao Cao purportedly to prevent Yuan Shu joining forces with his brother. Liu Bei then took possession of Xuzhou and had escaped Cao Cao’s tight control. After discovering that Liu Bei was a participant in the girdle mandate plot, Cao Cao marched on Liu Bei. Liu Bei then went to Yuan Shao to seek refuge. However, Lord Guan set three conditions for his surrender to Cao Cao and served in Cao Cao’s camp temporarily in order to protect Liu Bei’s family.
At that time, Yuan Shao was battling with Cao Cao and Cao was defeated time and again. To pay back Cao Cao’s kindness and generosity, Lord Guan killed Yan Liang and Wen Chou, two of Yuan Shao’s best commanders. Because of this, Yuan Shao was inclined to execute Liu Bei, but later changed his mind on hearing Liu Bei’s clever words of argument.
On learning where Liu Bei was, Lord Guan gathered together and locked away in a cupboard all the valuables received during his stay in Cao’s camps, left his seal of office, as Lord of Hanshou Precinct, hanging in the hall and left. Cao Cao rode after him unarmed with some attendants to try and persuade him to say. But Lord Guan could not be persuaded to remain. Lord Guan rode alone with Liu Bei’s family for around three hundred miles. He slew six of Cao’s generals and breached five passes. In the end, Liu Bei’s family was able to reunite with Liu Bei in safety under Lord Guan’s protection. Lord Guan’s loyalty and honour were much admired by later generations.
Dialogue
Lord Guan: I heard my brother is with you Yuan Shao. I would like to look for him with you but I am afraid that Cao Cao will not permit it. So I returned the official seal and sealed all the treasures. We will go north for many days. Please forgive me, my elder sisters, for all the hardships that lie before us.
Lady Mi: In case Cao Cao pursues us, what will you do?
Lord Guan: I will deal with him! Do not worry!
After killing Kong Xiu:
Bian Xi: I heard you were coming, General. I thought that I would come and welcome you myself!
Lord Guan: How dare you plan an ambush to kill me? You will not kill me. I will kill you!
Lord Guan: Kong Xiu at Dongling and Bian Xi at Sishui, both of them had been killed. Do you also seek death?
Wang Zhi: How dare you? Death is more than you deserve! Feel my sword!
Mission
Kill Kong Xiu and pass through Dong Ling.
Kill Bian Xi and pass through Sishui.
Occupy all the boats at the port.
Just saw your video... Looks like an interesting game...
Is it like Romance of the Kingdom where it's free play in conquering each state or have to follow a set mission each time?
I play according to the mission they gave me. There is also a free play one but missions are more challenging. Thanks for popping by :)
