Hello Steemians and Steemers, so as I said in my introduction, I like to play D&D(Dungeons and Dragons), well recently I started a campaign with a few of my friends and we are now going to be on our 3rd session coming up this friday. What that means is I have a lot to talk/write about when it comes down to the nitty gritty of things like what is currently going on(We have already had 2 boss fights, and almost got killed by the second). For those that don't know what D&D is, on a very high-level, its a Tabletop RPG where you immerse yourself into a character that could be one of the many different races in the D&D universe and you role play them(What is D&D?)
Character
My character, as the title states, is a Hill dwarf, his name is Morrak(More-rock) he is a two-weapon fighter, which allows me to attack with both of the weapons in my hand and still allows me to gain the proficiency bonus when I deal damage I still gain my ability modifier. Morrak wields Two hand axes starting off in the game and has four more handaxes at the ready just in case I throw the two in his hand.
Rough image of what Morrak would look like I am not the best artist, Sorry =( description of how he actually looks below:
Silver beard hair, beard is medium sized with three tails, Bald head, Scar on left eye but does not hinder sight/ is not missing a eye ball, Very buff, weight mostly comes from muscle mass
Backstory(From Morrak's perspective)
Once a miner during peaceful times and a renowned warrior during warring times for my clan, Clan Stoneshaft. Life was simple, I would stay in the mines all day then drink with my friends at night. I had been living for only a measly 43 years and we have been at peace for as long as about 20 years. I fought in a few wars at a very young age, I even seen my own father get cut down in one. When that happened I swore to always cherish what I have and gain as much wealth while doing so. When this war happened, no one expected it at all, long story short, it didn't go our way and now a large amount of my clan is spread out in these lands, known as valhallem. I am looking to reunite my people and gain as much riches while trying to do so. After the war, I wandered stealing from those that were evil, even being forced to kill. I stayed in a city and was in a tavern where I seen a young halfling picking some man's pocket. I followed the young man and approached him and said "Hey, I have to collect a finders fee from you!" Confused or even surprised, the young halfling laughed and said "I like you! I'm Balron!" From there started a friendship that would make us brothers in arm.
Stats
The following is the stats or ability scores of Morrak, every character has stats that benefits them to be effective in the world. My DM(Dungeon Master) decided to start us off at Lvl. 3 so we were able to pick our subclass and I decided to go with the Brute subclass which is currently a experimental type currently and is not in the official guide(Details here) this allows me to add damage by rolling a extra die with the number of sides on a dice increasing every milestone. More details in the link above.

I am going to tell the story from the perspective of Morrak so that will be at least one less name I will have to write throughout the lifespan of Morrak. I have a unforgiving DM so if Morrak dies that will be the end of his story and legacy, and I will have to create a new character. Dependent on how people like the story of Morrak, I will consider continuing the story of the character that replaces Morrak, but lets hope that Morrak can survive the dangers that lurk in valhallem. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Great idea for a series!
Have you ever read the DragonLance series? The series seems built around game play.
I have not, Seems very interesting especially since Fantasy is my go to genere when it comes to reading. I may poke around and see if I can find some of these books. Maybe beneficial when I decide to do my own campaign as a DM. Thanks!
I love me some DnD themed Dwarven fun....In every fantasy game I always play a Dwarf...maybe its because Im Scottish... :)
I enjoyed reading the post and gave you an upvote.I just made a Halloween themed Dwarven Shaman video...You can check it out here if your interested....https://steemit.com/gaming/@jubei333/halloween-fun-in-world-of-warcraft-happy-halloween
Thanks for upvoting and taking the time to comment, I think I am going to really enjoy playing Morrak, my first dwarven character. I usually go for Dragonborn but my DM said I couldn't be one this campaign. I'll give your post a read seems exciting have not played WoW in years!
So a update, I decided while writing a pre-draft, I will not be lazy and I will write the story from a third-person perspective, it will allow me to hit all the points when the group enters combat and i can make those parts more detailed and exciting. Thanks for the support guys and keep on Steeming along.
