7 Days to die: Journal Entries - The First Week

Who am I?

Hello Ateazi here, I am a health enthusiast as well as an avid gamer from time to time, today I will be writing a story about my time in 7 Days to Die, the Journal entires of my character.

What is 7 Days to Die?

I will briefly explain what the game is for those who do not know what it is. This game is a survival horror set in an atomic wasteland, where zombies have risen due to the fallout. I will put a link to my other post in here if you wish to read more. -----------------------------------------------

Prologue

I was sitting in my home peacefully when the bombs dropped over 100 miles away. A state of anarchy reigned over my area from what was believed to be the living. I did what I had to do, board up my home with all of the food I had stashed up. Before long, people were everywhere just walking around aimlessly. They all looked wounded from something, their skin rotting off. Before long I saw one of them eating another human being... The Hollywood "zombie" has truly risen from the grave. It has come time where I must venture out due to the lack of supplies, I will keep a journal entry incase I perish, people can understand what happened during my time, in the apocalypse.

Day One

As I leave the safety of my home, I head North thinking no zombies will be in the frozen tundra, and to meet with a few friends that I know across these lands. Plasma has a home up there, he has welcomed me and others to come there and fortify the place with him. I thought this would be a great idea, seeing as I had no other option. I loot anything I can on the way up, finding hardly anything. However I made it to them with a few scratches, and bruises, but in one piece.

Day Two

We gather ourselves, Plasma, The Slayer, and I. Understanding we need to fortify this place quick or we shall perish like the rest of the poor souls here. Plasma states we have to have a trench, deep and full of spikes, it will keep anything and everything out of the house we are now in, he starts on that. While I gather lumber for us to make these spikes with, they cost a lot of lumber but necessary for our survival. While The Slayer is scavenging anything and everything he can get his hands on, we are working like a well maintained, and oiled machine.

Day Three

The trench is nearing completion, however spikes are needed to fill it, this should guarantee our safety from any zombie who tries to attack us, it will be their last mistake. As I continue to gather lumber for our spikes, Plasma finishes off the moat, and starts working on base repairs, all of the holes and openings should be repaired by the end of the day he says. As I fill the hole with as many spikes as I can make, Plasma too makes some spikes to fill it with.

Day Four

It was day break, The Slayer and I were set out on a mission, we had to find the necessary parts in order to create a forge, which will allow us to make arrows, and better weapons, I devised this mission for us seeing I have taken the role of leader. Plasma stayed back again in order to complete our defenses. This is when I told The Slayer why he was so set on making this base secure. "See for the seventh day, a horde of zombies come out, it is due to a red moon that empowers them allowing them to sense our very location, without defenses we would perish." we came across a bunker, we break down the door, and what we found is a nice hole to go to if things get dicey, and a few rockets, for the launcher we don't have. We eventually find a town after searching the bunker, at the town we find what we need for the forge.

Day Five

With the forge at hand, we start setting up even more defenses, putting iron along the walls making it fortified that much more, the team working together as a unit we all had a role, I was fortifying the walls while, the slayer was helping plasma dig, as I got us iron for the walls, we might actually survive the seventh day.

Day Six

With just one more day before the attack we put ourselves full steam ahead everything gathering every resource we need, The slayer gathering us feathers for arrows, Plasma gathering us food, ammo, and anything else he can scavenge. While I stay back putting more iron on the walls making the as stronger as I can make them. Almost the end of the day we all make it back as a traveller comes up and asks us to stay for the seventh night, we all agree allowing this traveller to stay, if he/she agrees to pull their own weight. At which he/she does.

Day Seven

We make our final preparations as night falls, the red moon comes out, and as I look outside I see nothing but a horde running straight for us. It feels like this is the end, I hope the preparations can remain in tact and keep us all safe in here. I Plasma, and I did not see them holding by themselves, so we ran out to fight them face to face, while The slayer, and the traveller watched over us, Alas all our hard work and preparation protected us from what could have been our demise. This team might not be a bad place to stay for a while. I would not want to be anywhere else seeing as the next seven days shall be a true test.
