I also think vidya games should not be in the olympics. My main argument is what you have as point #8.
A sport is: an athletic competition.
"Athletic" is: skillful movement of the human body. The word "skill" would refer to a systemic ability to improve performance over time.
"Competition" is: the act or state of playing a game with only one side being able to "win".
So, simply because video games do not require skillful movement of the human body I say nay.
Hi @bardbarian Thanks for the insights, i did mention however that it does involve ungodly reaction time, multitasking, quick reflexes and the ability to think on the fly. They also train and put in hours as much as any pro athlete to be on top of their game. Then again, it's not physical, Chess has a better chance at getting in than E-sports
