Earning Crypto by Watching Streams

in #gaming5 years ago

Personally, I love watching video game streams and crypto. So when I learned about Sliver.tv, I though it was too good to be true. Below I will explain how it works.

What exactly is this?

Sliver.tv is a video game streaming site like twitch, but with a difference, you get paid in tFuel, which you can exchange in the ingame shop for merch, gaming equipment, and even consoles!

How does it work?

When scrolling through their website, you will find that some streams have a red fire emblem next to them. This means that you can earn tFuel by watching them. When you watch these streams, you will donate your excess bandwidth to your peers to create a more balanced and smooth streaming system.

Is this too good to be true?

Many might be skeptical about getting paid for a service instead of paying for it. It is important to remember a few things :

  1. they still have ads before some videos, this is how they make most of their money.

  2. The reason they are able to pay you the tokens which can end up costing them money is that by decreasing the load on their server and your peers, you are saving the server money. This is why the can do what they do.

  3. Finally, it's important to remember that this is not highly profitable, just a fun alternative to video game streaming sites like Twitch. There are better uses of your bandwidth, CPU, and time if you want to make money.
