Today I present this super game called "Super Castlevania IV" is an action-adventure game, was developed in 1991 by Konami for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, becoming the first game for the Super Nintendo game console, it's like a version, if so could be said of the original games Vampire Killer and Castlevania but this time precentando new and a little more complex scenarios, to companions of a great soundtrack and with excellent graphs of 16 bits, years later it was reedited for consoles like (Nintendo 3DS , Wii, Wii U) having an excellent receptivity on the part of its fans.
Simón Belmont
This great character named Simon Belmont is the protagonist of the sagas of the videogames of "Castlevania" his great mission is to fight and eliminate vampires since he is a magnificent hunter of century XVII, its powerful weapon is a whip, is a very versatile player and with great agility when fighting with vampires and other creatures. In conclusion: he is a hero in the sagas of "Castlevania"
Dracula
The evil Dracula known as "Mathias Cronqvist" is the main antagonist of this great Castlevania video game, his image was developed and inspired by the famous "Dracula with big teeth" that we all know, after the death of his wife callous in total madness and was what led him to become a vampire, thanks to the powers of the "Crimson Stone" he built his great army of monsters to face the warriors trying to pass through his castle, Dracula became a great final boss for the saga of "Castlevania"
In my opinion "Super Castlevania IV" is perfectly elaborated at the level of control since the player can count on a series of movements that allow you to jump, to whip the enemies with the whip and also protecting themselves with the same whip of the attacks of the enemies, also making it useful for swinging by the pairs as a type of rope if so it could be called.
The player will be able to improve his whip along the way and will also have the ability to use other types of "secondary weapons" such as the hearts that are found when eliminating the enemy and breaking the chandeliers, Note: some weapons will not be able to use them until have a lot of hearts since some are more powerful than others.
By improving the whip increases the size and strength with which it weakens the opponent, jumps are also fundamental in this game, since they can be perfectly controlled, opening up more possibilities to avoid the attacks and have a greater possibility to eliminate the enemy.
It also has a technique of hooking the walls while running forward or climbing stairs in the middle of a big jump as it is a game with lateral displacement, always taking into account that you have to take good care of their lives as the player at start the game, you will only have 3 lives to try to overcome 11 levels.
We will have a health meter on the screen, which indicates the state of health in this case of "Simon Belmont" which we can restore it with food that can be found in candelabra, magical crystals or eliminating an enemy (in some cases) the magic crystal is received after defeating the final boss of the level in which we are.
The player has unique tricks and peculiar one of them when you press "up" on the crossbar to climb the stairs and at the same time press the crosshead in the opposite direction, the character "Simon Belmont" makes a funny (lunar walk) the real name of this movement is (moonwalk).
In this great game they play very important roles, and we have to be always alert with the enemy to go passing each of these eleven difficult levels, to get to the final boss (Dracula) and thus defeat him, which I assure you will not be so easy.
I was always more of a Bloodlines fan myself. That and Simon's Quest. The rest I had trouble getting into till we start talking the GBA games at which point I ended my interest in Castlevania. I may need to revisit some of these older ones though - I am always a fan of 2D side scrolling action adventures.
if brother you are right, the 2D games are excellent, in my case I am fanatic of them, greeting.
Nice review! I really appreciate it when any Castlevania game gets some love, and starting to come back with the release of the new Netflix series. The soundtracks are something that always stood out to me as well.
Is this your favorite installment in the franchise or how would you rank it in comparison to others? My personal fav is Aria of Sorrow for GBA
if brother for my tastes the Castlevania games and all his sagas are a success, for me will always be one of my favorites.

Why did Dracula kill his sport trainer?
Ans: Because he was trying to whip him into shape!
jejeje very funny lol
Buen post mi estimado @carlossoublette, te daría un voto... pero a estas alturas creo que de nada te serviría, y es una lastima que no tengamos VP infinito.
Salu2.
jejeje si mi hermano tienes razón comparto tu idea.
This is such an awesome classic game. I remember having such a hard time on the mud creature level. Thankfully Game Genie for the SNES came around.
