I always had a love for video games present, especially if their themes are horror, mystery and adventure, however I also have fun occasionally playing other genres such as racing, today we can even talk about receiving rewards through cryptocurrencies with these games, with Hive and Moon karts being the protagonists of today.
Moonkarts is a car racing game very similar to Formula 1, although it is located in the Hive Blockchain ecosystem, it uses the SCRIPT token for its market (check market), that is, you will need to buy SCRIPT with your Hive, this mainly to be able to purchase the NFTs, at a minimum you will need to buy at least one driver and a kart to be able to compete, although you can get other "parts" that help your car improve its performance, it will undoubtedly be a good decision.
First Steps
When you have purchased SCRIPT, you will have to enter and log in to the game page, once there click on the icon that is just to the left side of your Hive user, a window will open with the options to stake, transfer or purchase SCRIPT, in this case it is transfer from Hive Engine to the game (transfer in), when you already have the balance transferred into the game, you will be able to purchase the NFTs you want (or for whatever you can afford 😆).
In my case I made a minimum purchase, a kart, a driver, some "engine"... keep in mind that within the game you can "merge" or combine several NFTs of the same type to improve the card you have, this will be convenient for you in the case of the kart with which you will compete.
After making your purchases, go back to the game's home page and click on "Race Now", the game will start loading and it may take a while for the first load so don't get impatient. When you already have the game loaded you can explore the different options and menus that the game has, from my point of view the most important ones to know are:
My cards: There you will find the cards you bought.
Presets:
It will help you set a kart configuration, engine driver and other boosts that you have purchased.
- Auto vault: This space is important because here you will get “FUEL”, you will need to stake cards that depending on their rarity will make you earn X amount of fuel, keep in mind that staked cards cannot be used to go to the races.

Here you can review the ranking, your position and the seasonal rewards they will give (which is different from what you earn in races)Multiplayer:
Through this section you enter the races with other users where you can obtain some rewards, it allows you to view the equipment with which you are about to enter to compete, in case you were testing by removing one engine for another.
The other sections have their uses, it doesn't hurt to review what you can do in each one, I only highlight the previous ones to simplify your access to the game and the races.
Importance of FUEL
When you enter to compete in multiplayer, if you are without "fuel" you will see a sign like in the image, what is intended to tell you is that you will not be able to win any rewards obtained in your races if you do not have "fuel", in other words you will be able to compete until you go up in the ranking thanks to it, without taking anything else from the races... until you get the necessary "fuel", and you can do that with the stake of cards that I indicated above.
The extra
Since the game has the option to combine (merge) several cards of the same type to obtain an improved one, if you are low on SCRIPT you will have to review the cards with high rarity, especially the most necessary ones, which are the car and the driver.
Things that happen
At the time I started playing, when I entered the multiplayer I was waiting for a few minutes without being able to find other competitors, perhaps it was because of the schedule, however this could be a point in favor since we could be among the first and with few complications to climb the ranking.
The NFTs that I chose fulfill their function without highlighting, I did my tests in the “Singleplayer” section to get a little used to the sensation of driving the kart so that I could get the hang of it, and then I returned to my attempts to find a game with other players online, I managed to play a game before returning to my daily chores, without a doubt the experience of playing against others is more exciting than playing in practice mode.
At first I thought about making a video, however my PC, not being current by any means, has conflicts when processing the screen recording and at the same time, running the game, the good thing is that you can take a screenshot although it is complicated while you are running 😆
For now you just have to play and learn a little more about Moon Karts, everything explained here is just a light and quick guide to be able to enter the game without losing your temper in the attempt 😆

Siempre tuve la afición por los videojuegos presente, sobretodo si sus temáticas son de terror, misterio y aventura, sin embargo también me divierto jugando ocasionalmente otros géneros como las carreras, hoy en día ya incluso podemos hablar de recibir recompensas mediante criptomonedas con estos juegos, siendo Hive y Moon karts los protagonistas de hoy.
Moonkarts es un juego de carreras de coches muy parecidos a los de fórmula 1, si bien se encuentra en el ecosistema de la Blockchain Hive, usa el token SCRIPT para su mercado (revisar mercado), es decir que requerirás comprar SCRIPT con tus Hive, esto principalmente para poder hacer la compra de los NFTs, como mínimo requerirás comprar al menos un conductor y un kart para poder competir, aunque su puedes conseguir otras “partes” que ayuden a tu coche a mejorar su desempeño, sin duda será una buena decisión.
Primeros Pasos
Cuando tengas comprado SCRIPT, tendrás que ingresar y loguearte en la página del juego, una vez allí pulsas en el icono que está justo al lado izquierdo de tu usuario Hive, se abrirá una ventana con las opciones para hacer stake, transferencia o compra de SCRIPT, en este caso es transferencia desde Hive Engine al juego (transfer in), cuando tengas ya el saldo transferido dentro el juego, ya podrás realizar la compra de los NFTs que quieras (o para lo que te alcance 😆).
En mi caso hice una compra mínima, un kart, un conductor, algo de “engine”...ten en cuenta que dentro el juego se puede hacer “merge” o combinar varios NFTs del mismo tipo para mejorar la carta que tengas, esto te convendrá en el caso del kart con el que competirás.
My cards: Allí encontrarás las cartas que compraste.
Presets:
Te servirá para fijar una configuración de kart, conductor engines y demás boost que te hubieras comprado.
- Auto vault: Éste espacio es importante porque acá conseguirás “FUEL”, necesitarás hacer stake de cartas que según su rareza hará que ganes X cantidad de fuel, ten en cuenta que cartas puestas en stake no pueden ser usadas para ir a las carreras.
Rank: Acá podrás revisar el ranking, tu posición y las recompensas de temporada que darán (que es diferente de lo que ganas en las carreras)
Multiplayer:
Por éste apartado ingresas a las carreras con otros usuarios donde puedes obtener algunas recompensas, te permite visualizar el equipamiento con el que estás por ingresar a competir, por si estuviste probando quitando algún engine por otro.
Los otros apartados tienen su utilidad, no está demás que revises lo que puedes hacer en cada uno, solo resalto los anteriores para simplificar tu acceso al juego y las carreras.
Importancia del FUEL
El dato extra
Dado que el juego tiene la opción de combinar (merge) varias cartas del mismo tipo para obtener una mejorada, si estás con poco SCRIPT tendrás que revisar las cartas con de rareza alta, en especial los más necesarios que son el coche y el conductor.
Cosas que pasan
Al momento en el que yo empecé a jugar, cuando ingresé al multiplayer estuve esperando por unos minutos sin poder encontrar otros competidores, quizá fuera por el horario, sin embargo esto puede ser un punto a favor ya que podríamos estar entre los primeros y con pocas complicaciones para subir en el ranking.
Los NFTs que elegí cumplen con su función sin destacar, hice mis pruebas en el apartado de “Singleplayer” para acostumbrarme un poco a la sensación dal manejo del kart cosa que agarrarle la maña, ya luego volví a mis intentos de encontrar partida con otros jugadores en línea, logré jugar una partida antes de volver a mis quehaceres de cada día, sin duda la experiencia de jugar contra otros es más emocionante que jugar en modo práctica.
A un inicio pensé en hacer un video, sin embargo mi PC al no ser actual ni por asomo, tiene conflictos al procesar la grabación de pantalla y al mismo tiempo, hacer correr el juego, lo bueno es que se puede sacar captura de pantalla aunque es complicado mientras está uno en carrera 😆
De momento queda jugar y aprender un poco más acerca de Moon Karts, todo lo aquí explicado es solo una guía ligera y rápida para poder entrar al juego sin perder los estribos en el intento 😆
